Model Risk Management Certification
This certification evaluates an individual’s ability to manage institutional models and tools throughout their lifecycle. We will review an individual’s ability to understand, document, credibly challenge, and audit key models leveraged by their institution. Individuals achieving this distinction demonstrate a clear understanding of model risk and have the capability to identify potential errors, issues, and biases in those designs.

Certification Steps

Select the desired area for certification, provide some basic information, and we’ll work with you to set up an initial conversation to discuss your request and the next steps toward accreditation.
If you are requesting an existing certification, we will set up a time and place with you to take the examination (step 4).
We can also develop a certification process for a business, industry, or association that quantitatively measures an individual’s knowledge, understanding, and awareness of any operational, risk, or compliance subject matter (step 2).

We will request existing policies, procedures, process flows, training, control logs, self-identified issues and other information associated with the requested training area. During this initial due diligence, our staff is available to work with your business to create, enhance and update these materials.

In addition to designing a comprehensive examination that certifies knowledge and awareness in a particular subject matter, we will also work with your institution to create the logistics and parameters. From the time allotted to the question length to the aids allowed, we will ensure a consistent, fair environment for testing purposes.

We will proctor the examination providing instructions, monitoring, and oversight.

We will provide each individual a summary of their results, including areas where questions were most commonly missed.
If we are certifying training at a particular institution, we will also share key summary data, including commonly missed questions and areas of potential weakness or need for additional understanding.
